CRediT (Collaboration Roles)

Giuristi: Revista de Derecho Corporativo (Giuristi: Journal of Corporate Law) adheres to the taxonomy of academic collaboration roles (CRediT) which allows the identification and distinction of the contribution made by the co-authors of a research, specifying what were the responsibilities that each one assumed in the study process in order to assign the corresponding credits to the authors who participated in the research and in the communication of its results.

The CRediT taxonomy distributes participation roles into 14 typologies through which the authors of a study can gain recognition in research.

Roles of the collaborators

Conceptualization: Ideas; formulation or evolution of the general objectives and goals of the research.

Data curation: management activities to annotate (produce metadata), cleanse data, and maintain research data (including software code, when necessary to interpret the data itself) for initial use and subsequent reuse.

Formal analysis: application of statistical, mathematical, computational, or other formal techniques to analyze or synthesize the study data.

Acquisition of funding: Acquisition of financial support for the project that has resulted in this publication.

Research: Conducting a research process, specifically carrying out experiments or collecting data/evidence.

Methodology: Development or design of the methodology; creation of models.

Project Management: Responsibility for the management and coordination of the planning and execution of the research activity.

Resources: Supply of study materials, reagents, materials, patients, laboratory samples, animals, instrumentation, computer resources or other analysis tools.

Software: Programming, software development; computer program design; implementation of computer code and supporting algorithms; testing of existing code components.

Supervision: Responsibility for supervising and directing the planning and execution of research activity, including external mentoring of the main team.

Validation: Verification, either as part of the activity or separately, of the overall replication/reproducibility of the results/experiments and other research products.

Visualization: Preparation, creation and/or presentation of the published work, specifically the visualization/presentation of data.

Writing: original draft: Preparation, creation and/or presentation of the published work, specifically the writing of the initial draft (including substantive translation).

Writing: review and editing: preparation, creation and/or presentation of the work published by the members of the original research group, specifically the critical review, comments or revision, including the stages prior to or after publication.
