Editorial process
The items that are sent to Giuristi: Revista de Derecho Corporativo (Giuristi: Journal of Corporate Law) are subjected to an evaluation process that consists of the following phases:
Pre-evaluation phase: The editor receives the text and evaluates its acceptance based on the following criteria: a) relevance to the journal's subject matter and scope; b) methodological rigor of the research; c) percentage of similarity to other texts already published (which may even be in another language). If the manuscript had overcome will proceed to the next phase; otherwise, it will be rejected.
Evaluation phase: by blind reviewers. In this phase, the editor requests that anonymous, pro bono reviewers analyze the article. The review is done under the "double-blind" modality (Double-blind peer review)whereby referees and authors do not know each other's identity in order to preserve neutrality in the review process.
The reviewers can make the following recommendations:
- Recommend publication without modifications
- Recommend modifications to improve the submitted text
- Recommend not to publish if the manuscript contains insurmountable errors.
The editor will make the final decision based on the recommendations made by the reviewers.
After the evaluation phases, the text goes through the correction and editing phases.
Correction phase:The editor's final decision will be communicated to the author so they can address the feedback and incorporate the indicated modifications. The author must address the feedback and/or make the corrections within the given timeframe. The editor will decide whether the revised article is satisfactory or if a second review is required.
If the corrections are not submitted within the indicated time, the manuscript may be published in a later issue, different from the one previously announced in order of acceptance.
Editing phase:If the article is accepted, it is edited and formatted. Afterward, a DOI is assigned and it is published online.
Peer review policy
In the Evaluation Phase, all manuscripts received will be peer-reviewed by at least two anonymous and ad honorem reviewers, under the "double-blind" modality (Double-blind peer review)This system ensures that both referees and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process. Review requests submitted to referees include a suggested timeframe and require their commitment to avoid delays.
This phase takes four to six months, as it includes the referee review time, the authors' response to comments, and final acceptance. For inquiries, authors can write to giuristi@esan.edu.pe
Manuscripts received are considered accepted for publication when the evaluation process has been successfully completed.
The reviewers use a Matrix for rating manuscripts.
Post-Publication
To increase the dissemination of the article within the academic community, the authors are encouraged to share the text through various networks after publication, such as:
- Academic networks such as ORCID (https://orcid.org/register), Academia.edu (https://www.academia.edu), ResearchGate.net (https://www.researchgate.net/signup.SignUp.html), Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/).
- Social networks: Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn.
- Personal blogs or logs.
- Video summaries or podcasts.
