Abstract

The emergence of generative artificial intelligence is transforming the way humanity interacts with information, and the speed with which it processes data represents an advantage for optimizing procedures. This affects legal systems in terms of protecting rights, but it also constitutes an opportunity for public administration to provide more efficient services to citizens.

This article analyzes the case study EleccIA, the virtual electoral judicial assistant: an artificial intelligence created by the National Elections Board to streamline the evaluation of registration files for lists of candidates for elected office and to project its resolutions.

It concludes that the use of this technological tool offers significant advantage, including the reduction of the time required to evaluate files from 240 minutes to 6 minutes, as well as verifying the traceability of any changes that may be made manually during the evaluation process.
